You Should Apply as a Transfer Student If:

    • You've earned at least 30 credit hours of college courses after high school that transfers to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­.
    • You have not earned a bachelor's degree or you are pursuing a second bachelor's degree.

Have You Earned Less Than 30 Transferable Credit Hours?

    • If you graduated from high school less than five years before the semester you want to enroll, you must meet the new freshman admissions requirements, in addition to transfer admissions requirements.
    • If you graduated from high school more than five years before the semester you want to enroll, apply as a non-traditional adult student.

Admissions Steps

  1. Apply Online: Complete the admissions application.
  2. Submit your college transcripts: East Georgia accepts transcripts through electronic transcript services such as Parchment, , , etc. Please do not fax or email transcripts. If not sent electronically, college transcripts must be mailed directly from the institution. They will not be considered official if submitted directly from the student. To order transcripts, refer to the Registrar’s website at your previous institution.
  3. Submit your high school transcript (if applicable): East Georgia accepts transcripts through electronic transcript services such as , Parchment, or Scoir. Please do not fax or email transcripts. You may mail your transcripts or drop them off in person. They will be considered official as long as they remain in the original, sealed envelope from the school.
  4. Verification of lawful presence: If you want to be considered for in-state tuition or receive financial aid, please submit your verification of lawful presence.
  5.  This status will reflect information we have in our records. You will be able to learn of your admissions decision as soon as it is made without having to wait for an official email or admissions letter.

Transcripts must be sent directly from each and every college (including technical institutions) attended to the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Office of Admissions. If you have completed less than 30 transferable credit hours, you must submit a high school transcript.

Faxed documents and copies provided by the student are NOT considered official and will not be used for admission purposes. Courses from one institution that are listed on another college transcript will not substitute for an official transcript. Prior educational experience may not be omitted from an application package.

If You Were Internationally Educated

Send an official National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES) or Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) evaluated document-by-document high school transcript or Certificate of Education. A GPA calculation is not required. The evaluation must be sent directly from the agency to the Admissions Office. Find a full list of or members.

Submit your verification of lawful presence documentation if you wish to pay in-state tuition.

    • This is not required if you pay out-of-state tuition.
    • Out-of-state tuition is much higher than in-state tuition. Estimate costs.
    • Admission to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ is not contingent upon proof of lawful presence.
    • If you no longer wish to be considered for tuition at the in-state rate, please contact us at admissionsFREEOMNIUPDATE so that we can remove the requirement from your record.

All new students (freshman, transfers, and others) attending in person classes will be required to submit a Certificate of Immunization prior to the first day of classes. The certificate will be kept on file and will be valid throughout the tenure of the student's enrollment.

Students who plan on enrolling in fully online classes or due to conflict with religious beliefs may request an exemption on the immunization form located here.
